Most of these photographs were taken, when I was walking the endless streets and backyards of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Queens and Coney Island day by day.

These suburbs impressed me so much, because they were so far away from all the pictures in my mind, when I was thinking about New York City at that time.

I simply tried to find a New York that had not much to do with all the pictures I've seen before.
